snap crackle pop

we set off fireworks tonight... it was fun. real ones, and the little ones that sit on the ground and spark up. one of them was called 'golden showers.'

yeah, we saw fireworks on the chain o' lakes the other night. they were terrible. apparently there was some kind of technical problem, cuz there would be 3 fireworks and then a 10 minute pause. we just left.

i'm not a real big fireworks fanatic anyway. as a kid, it was bittersweet, cuz you'd wait all day for the fireworks knowing that once they were over, it was time to go home. :( now it just seems like a lot of money for fire.

there sure are a lot of people doing their own fireworks too. the cops drove by our house slow, but didn't stop. if people are such pyromaniacs, how can they confine their hazardous fire behavior to a few days a year?
